Château Chantalouette is the second wine of Château de Sales, which with 47.5 hectares is by far the largest winery in Pomerol. This wine is made by the same team as Château de Sales. “As ever, a reliable and attractive Pomerol from the Moueix stable,” wrote Jane Anson of Decanter about Château Chantalouette 2015. Chantalouette is named after one of the larger parcels that make up the vineyard of Château de Sales. Only after malolactic fermentation is it decided whether the wine is used in the Grand Vin of Château de Sales or in Château Chantalouette.
