The Château Martet Vignes de Compostelle Blanc 2023 is an elegant and aromatic white Bordeaux from the Sainte-Foy Côtes de Bordeaux appellation, where the rich terroir of gravel and limestone soils provides a perfect foundation for complexity and freshness. This wine is a beautiful expression of classic Bordeaux blends, produced with care and respect for both tradition and modern taste preferences.
It is a harmonious blend of Sémillon, Sauvignon Blanc, Sauvignon Gris, and Muscadelle, with each grape contributing to the wine’s character: Sémillon adds structure and roundness; Sauvignon Blanc and Sauvignon Gris provide lively freshness and aromas; and Muscadelle offers floral finesse. After manual harvesting, grapes are gently pressed and fermented in stainless steel tanks to preserve pure fruitiness and aromatic clarity. The wine then matures for about four months ‘sur lies fines’ (on fine lees), adding extra texture and subtle complexity without muting its fresh expression.
In the glass, this cuvée presents a clear, light golden color. The nose begins with fresh, aromatic intensity combining floral tones with nuances of lychee, citrus and hints of exotic fruit. On the palate, the wine offers a fine balance between vibrant acidity and soft, elegant fruit — fresh and structured at once — finishing dry, long and inviting another sip.
Perfect as an aperitif, but also an ideal companion to grilled fish, shellfish, poultry in creamy sauces, or a summer salad with goat cheese.
Serving temperature: 8–10 °C
Drinking window: now to 2027
