San Marzano is one of the most popular and well-known wineries in Puglia. They are also the most modern and technically best-equipped winery in Puglia. They produce beautiful, balanced wines with immense flavor and complexity, without losing sight of the centuries-old Apulian wine traditions.

Hilly area in the northern province of Taranto, Salento, Puglia. A landscape where vineyards and olive trees grow side by side on red soil. The area is about 100 meters above sea level. The soil and Mediterranean Sea play an essential role in producing high-quality wines. The climate is extreme, with challenging conditions: drought, frost, Sirocco wind. Yet these passionate winemakers ensure that even grapes from the oldest vineyards yield full and elegant wines.

Made from 100% Primitivo. This ruby-red wine with purple hues is striking to look at and gains depth from 6 months aging in American and French oak. A very pleasant bouquet with aromas of cherry, plum, chocolate, and vanilla. The wine has a velvety texture. The finish is intense, rich, and lightly sweet.

This wine pairs well with hearty starters, lamb, game, and red meat with rich sauces, or aged hard cheeses.

We recommend serving at 16-18°C.
